NAC Breda said goodbye to Maurice Steijn last season, after which Edwin de Graaf finished the season in Breda.
Molenaar himself played football for FC Volendam, RBC Roosendaal, Leeds United and Bradford City. He started as a trainer in professional football at FC Volendam. After Roda JC and Almere City, he joined NAC last season as responsible for the under 21 team.
