Surprising exit
NAC Breda has surprisingly parted ways with coach Peter Hyballa. The 47-year-old German coach took over the Dutch second division team last January and led them into the playoffs for promotion, which ended in the semi-finals. NAC started the new season with seven points from five games. In his second term in Breda, Hyballa scored an average of 1.68 points in 28 games.
“Peter did a good job last season, after his appointment in the winter we climbed from twelfth to sixth place. In the summer we further strengthened the team and staff in order to continue to grow. Unfortunately, the further development was not sufficiently successful precisely because the cooperation between the trainer and his working environment became inadequate. As management, we do not believe that this situation can be repaired,” said technical director Peter Maas, explaining the Hyballa exit.
