The N34 between Exloo and Emmen-Noord will be closed in both directions this weekend. Work is underway on the new slip roads at Klijndijk. The work will be completed a week later.
Traffic will have to detour from 6 p.m. Friday. Monday morning 06.00 the milling and asphalting work is finished for that weekend.
Road users are diverted with signs. Traffic from the south can detour via provincial roads to Beilen/Drachten (N381), Schoonloo (N376) and Borger (N374) to reach Borger and Groningen.
Motorists from the north with the destination Klijndijk/Emmen can use the provincial roads towards Schoonloo (N374), Sleen (N376) and Emmen (N381). Bus passengers also have to take other travel times into account because of the detour.
A week later, the N34 is closed again, between Exloo and the Friesland route (N381). Then contractor Avitec will be working on the finishing work on the slip roads at Klijndijk from Friday evening to Monday morning.
