N-VA wants to involve local officials when moving: “Does a couple of well-behaved seventies necessarily have to be checked by a police officer?” | Domestic

No longer a local police officer at your door when you move, but a local official who will come and check your home. According to N-VA, this proposal will reduce the workload for local police officers and improve the quality of rental properties. Flemish Minister of Housing Matthias Diependaele (N-VA) is already a fan, the local police zones less so. “If the new resident is known to the court, an officer is probably best placed to pay a visit.”
