N-VA MP Yngvild Ingels was sold as a baby for 6,500 francs: “An amount that the nuns apparently calculated as a percentage of my parents’ gross wages” | Domestic

She was born in a convent in France around the turn of 1979, smuggled across the border by a Catholic organization and sold for 6,500 francs (about 161 euros). N-VA MP Yngvild Ingels (44) does not know more about her origins. She received a standing ovation yesterday in parliament that was debating the HLN podcast ‘Children of the Church’. But what Yngvild really wants is a major investigation so that she and thousands of fellow sufferers can finally get answers.
