According to ‘Apache’, the anti-fascist movement Antifa has hacked and made public the customer base of the Swedish webshop Midgård for the period 2017 to 2022. The list is said to contain 33 Flemish people, including an employee of N-VA parliamentary faction leader Peter De Roover. The man, who was still active with the Vlaams Belang until 2011, is said to have ordered a CD with Nazi hymns.
The N-VA faction says that it plans “a very serious conversation” with the person involved, “because the movements behind the webshop in question are in no way consistent with the philosophy and identity of our party.” “Given that this is a conversation between employer and employee, we are not going to have it publicly,” he said.
According to ‘Apache’, Midgård has more than 2,700 products on offer and is said to use the proceeds from sales to sponsor, among other things, a Swedish neo-Nazi movement that is also active in other Scandinavian countries.
According to Els Keytsman, director of Unia, purchasing such material in itself is not punishable, as long as it is not used to incite others to hatred or glorify Nazism. The equal opportunities center therefore does not intend to file a complaint in the case.
