Mytheresa opens logistics center at Leipzig/Halle Airport

The online fashion retailer Mytheresa has confirmed its growth ambitions with the opening of a new logistics center at Leipzig/Halle Airport.

The commissioning of the 55,000 square meter facility “represents a significant milestone for Mytheresa” and underlines “the company’s determination to expand its capacity and strengthen its position as a global leader in luxury e-commerce,” the fashion retailer said on Thursday.

The new logistics center enables, among other things, “significantly faster delivery to the USA” as well as “improved services in the Asia-Pacific region,” explained the e-commerce specialist. Through “improved shipping processes, faster deliveries and returns,” the company is increasing its “international competitiveness and growth potential.”

At the same time, the region should also benefit from the new location. Around 270 employees have already been hired there, and the number of jobs will be increased to up to 1,000 by 2030, Mytheresa announced.
