“My father, Donald Trump, has passed away”

The Trump family came to attention once again when several questionable posts appeared on Donald Trump Jr.’s X account on Wednesday afternoon (September 20). The messages were posted at frequent intervals and were live for 30 minutes. Among them: the announcement that the former president had died.

It appears Donald Trump’s eldest son has been the target of a hacker attack. His account was taken over by an internet troll for half an hour. During this time, the hacker posted messages such as, “I am sorry to announce that my father, Donald Trump, has passed away. I will run for president in 2024.” But he didn’t let old controversies rest either: “Some interesting news from Jeffrey Epstein …”

But perhaps the clearest evidence that Trump Jr. has not lost his mind, but has fallen victim to a hacker, can be found in a tweet in which he takes on the older of the Paul acting brothers: “By the way, I also fucked your girlfriend @LoganPaul.”

The tweets were only live for half an hour before X intervened, removed the posts and reinstated the account.

After former President Donald Trump was banned from Twitter over the events of January 6, 2021, the storming of the Capitol, Elon Musk recently tried to bring him back to the platform by reactivating the suspended account. Trump’s return began with the circulation of his mugshot after he was arrested in Georgia and his recurring slogans “ELECTION INFLUENCE” and “NEVER SURRENDER.”
