Dissatisfied fans of the club, which is still performing dramatically under the former Ajax coach, had previously called on Musk to do so.
Musk often publishes funny tweets, such as the announcement in April when he announced that he was going to buy Coca-Cola to add cocaine back to the recipe. A few weeks earlier, a tweet in which he announced that he was buying Twitter was indeed the prelude to an attempt at a real takeover. That has also been rejected again, and is being fought further in court. Tweets in 2018 in which he announced that his car company Tesla was going to be delisted again, brought him into conflict with the stock market regulator SEC.
