The US musician will tackle his only German gig in the Festsaal Kreuzberg in the spring.
On March 6th, 2024, DJ Shadow will come to Berlin for a performance at the Festsaal Kreuzberg. We present the show of the Californian, whose real name is Joshua Davis.

His debut album ENTRODUCING…, released in 1996, is considered a musical milestone and launched the career of the producer, who now works with big names such as Nas and Run the Jewels. DJ Shadow single-handedly put together his debut work for over two years, which consists entirely of samples taken from records. The DJ/producer even earned an entry in the Guinness Book of Records for this. ENTRODUCING….. is a wide-ranging sound collage made up of wild drum breaks, cross-genre samples and bits from film and television. An example of the experiment is the song “Midnight In A Perfect World,” which, with a jazz piano and distorted vocals, sounds like the soundtrack to a nighttime train ride.
After ENTRODUCING….. five more works were released. The most recent is from 2019 and is called OUR PATHETIC AGE. ME author André Boße wrote about the record, among other things: “Retrofuturistic electronica with a “Blade Runner” atmosphere that sounds like dystopia and oppression.”
