The resigned director Ralph Keuning of Museum de Fundatie will remain associated with the museum as an advisor for at least two years. According to interim director Rob Zuidema, the fact that the discredited Keuning is still leaving is the result of a ‘careful process’. “I hope that the employees will experience that they have been listened to in the end.”

At the beginning of this year, an internal report showed that a large part of the staff in Zwolle and Wijhe (Kasteel het Nijenhuis near Heino) was ’emaciated’ and ‘beaten down’ by Keuning’s behavior in the workplace. The museum’s Supervisory Board decided to continue with Keuning, but appointed Zuidema as business director.
