National wrestler Murat Fırat won the gold medal in the Greco-Roman style 67 kilo final competition at the 19th Mediterranean Games held in Algeria.
In the organization held in the city of Oran, Murat Fırat beat the French Gagik Snjoyan 6-3 in the quarter-finals and the Italian Ignazio Sanfilippo 6-1 in the semi-finals and reached the final. In the final, Fırat defeated Ishak Ghaiou from the host country by 7-6 despite falling back 6-0 and became the champion.
