The municipality of Aa en Hunze becomes owner of the cemetery in Eext. She takes over from the Others Cemetery Foundation.
The cemetery board has indicated to the municipality that it can no longer fulfill its tasks and it has not been possible to find a successor. The municipality of Aa en Hunze considers it important that the cemetery in Eext is preserved for the community and that the cemetery remains in good condition.
Symbolic amount of 1 euro
As of January 1, 2024, the municipality will become owner of the general cemetery in Eext. The municipality takes over the cemetery in exchange for the symbolic amount of one euro. This has no further consequences for surviving relatives and interested parties, except that from now on contact will be through the municipality instead of through the foundation.
