After much announcing, finally the candidate for the PP in Barcelona, Daniel Sirerahas formalized this Friday morning the complaint against the municipal government and also against the ‘conselleria’ of Interior for, according to the popular, giving orders to the police “not to act” against the squats of the bonanova that they “shot pellets” and “welded fences that we all paid to make barricades.” Specifically, it welcomes the crimes 408 and 409 of the Penal Code that pose a penalty of between six months and two years of disqualification for the “authorities” that “intentionally” do not promote “the prosecution of crimes.”
It is not a criminal complaint against any specific public official, but a complaint to ask the justice system to “carry out the appropriate investigations” to “identify those responsible” for giving orders not to act. In the letter, which was presented this Friday before the Ciutat de la Justicia duty court, the popular ones assure that “various open journalistic sources” maintain that both Jaume Collboni -although at the time of the events, he no longer held any position within the city council- as well as the mayoress Ada Colau and the Department of the Interior gave “express orders not to act, abandoning their functions.”
“Very serious” facts
They also attach as evidence videos published in different media in which, for example, a man can be seen shooting pellets from the roof of the farm occupied last March, when the eviction of the property was annulled. According to the PP, there has been no no detention nor identification for these facts. The Kubo building -owned by Sareb- had to be evacuated on March 23, but the Mossos ruled out carrying it out because they considered that the “necessary security and efficiency guarantees” were not given and finally the court suspended it. Cs files a complaint
In the race to lead the fight against squatting, this Thursday the candidate for cs, Anna Grauadvanced to Sirera and filed a complaint with the “conselleria” d’Interior also for “inaction” in the Kubo and Ruïna buildings. In his instance, the oranges claimed the application of the Citizen Security Law, better known as the ‘gag law’, to vacate the building and open a disciplinary file against those responsible for the squatting.
