The municipal and regional elections on May 28 will put into play the 8,135 mayors from all over Spain and 12 autonomous governments. Its outcome will serve as a thermometer for the degree of mobilization of the electorate of each party in the face of the autumn generals. In short, this year the games are played to be or not to be in the Spanish electoral board. And for many leaders and candidates it will also be a test of their leadership, that is, of their own political survival.
