Munich Fabric Start GmbH is rearranging the dates of its fabric fairs, the company announced on Tuesday.
From 2023 the summer editions of Munich Fabric Start, Bluezone, Keyhouse and The Source will take place in the second half of July and no longer at the end of August. This brings the main event forward, taking place six weeks earlier than before.
In concrete terms, this means for 2023: The Munich Fabric Start will run from July 18th to 20th. Bluezone, Keyhouse and The Source will be combined for a two-day event on July 18-19 at the Zenith site. The venue – the MOC Munich – remains unchanged.
“With our rescheduling, we are positioning Munich Fabric Start and Bluezone early in the trade fair calendar. The new date is therefore perfectly timed and integrates seamlessly into the existing events and rhythms,” said Frank Junker, Creative Director Munich Fabric Start.
New formats Review and Preview
The previous preview format View will take place twice a year from summer 2023. Once as a review and preview. The Review will premiere on September 5th and 6th, 2023 and will present the developments for Fall-Winter 24/25. The review thus takes the previous place of the Munich Fabric Start in the calendar. On November 28th and 29th, 2023, the new concept Preview will be presented, where the Spring-Summer 2025 collection will be presented.
By changing the dates, the Munich trade fair organizer is also reacting to developments in the industry: the French fabrics fair Première Vision and the Italian Milano Unica have also changed their dates to July. Many fabric manufacturers can also present part of their collection at an earlier date.
The trade fair dates for spring/summer 24 remain unchanged: View – November 29 and 30, 2022, Munich Fabric Start – January 24 to 26, 2023, Bluezone and Keyhouse – January 24 and 25, 2023.
