Munich Fabric Start ends cautiously optimistic

After three days of the trade fair, the international fabric fair Munich Fabric Start for the Spring/Summer 2025 season came to an end yesterday at the Munich MOC. Around 1,000 fabric and ingredient suppliers from all over the world presented their new products in eight areas.

Over the past three days, 11,700 visitors came to the Munich MOC and the Zenith Area, including designers and buyers from brands such as adidas, Akris, Armed Angels, Bogner, Brax, Diesel, Drykorn, Ganni, Maloja, Marc O’Polo, Schumacher or Windsor.

The visitors came from 58 countries, including Germany, mainly from Eastern Europe, Italy, Scandinavia, the UK and the Benelux countries. Visitors even traveled to Munich from South America, the USA and the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Oceania.

As always, the trade fair was rounded off by a comprehensive accompanying program with prominent and international speakers from a wide range of areas of the industry.

“We are very satisfied: Munich Fabric Start is and remains a central fixture for the fashion industry. The past few days have proven that clarity and orientation are the current mega-topics in our industry. Now it’s important for everyone to become aware of their own strengths and focus on what really counts for them. Visitors, exhibitors and also us as trade fair organizers. Our core competency is creating a space for business, inspiration and interaction. And we hear from all directions that this place will be even more important in the future. In this respect, we are proud that we have once again succeeded in creating it and are already looking forward to starting planning for the next season,” explained Managing Director Sebastian Klinder and Creative Director & Partner of Munich Fabric Start, Frank Junker.

In just a few months, the next key date for the European fashion industry will be the View Premium Selection on June 18th and 19th at Motorworld – then at the start of the Fall/Winter 25 season.
