Müller wins the first German EM medal in Munich

Kim Lea Müller surprisingly won the first German medal at the European Championships in Munich.

In the final of the BMX freestyle competition, the 20-year-old from Oldenburg secured silver with a courageous second run (78.60 points). The Czech Iveta Miculycova also unexpectedly won gold (80.00). Bronze went to Laury Perez of France (78.20).

Medal contender Lara Lessmann, on the other hand, missed the desired place on the podium in fourth place (75.30). The favored Olympic champion Charlotte Worthington (Great Britain) was last in the final with eight starters after two falls.
