Rubble and ash have been cleared away, a new sales vehicle is ready – Andreas Thamm (69) wants to open his fishery again on Saturday.
The man has a bite: Just nine days after the devastating fire that destroyed the sales vehicle and smoker, Müggelsee-Fischer Thamm is back for his customers. With the support of neighbors, he was able to clear away the remains of the fire and spruce up his popular fishery in Rahnsdorf for the reopening.
On Thursday afternoon, the last hazardous waste was removed from his property in a container, and water and sewage pipes were connected. Instead of the burned-down sales vehicle, there is now a vehicle that was previously used in market trading.
“The vehicle is not ideal for the takeaway business and customers will have to wait a little longer. But it had to be done quickly. I have an obligation to my employees,” he says to BZ
So: With a reduced range, smoking and feasting will take place again on Saturday in the fishery on the banks of the Müggelspree.
Andreas Thamm has been running the shop for over 30 years and is grateful that with the help of friends, neighbors and donations he can do what he loves to do – sell his fish!
