The Magdeburg open water swimmer Rob Muffels has been elected the new active spokesman in the German Swimming Association.
“I’ve been a member of the DSV squad for 14 years and now I’d like to actively promote the interests of the athletes,” said the 27-year-old.
According to the statutes, Muffels automatically becomes a member of the DSV executive committee together with his deputy, the water polo player Kevin Götz from Hanover. The duo succeeds Sarah Wellbrock and Tobias Preuss.
