Much more demand for electricity in a short time: TenneT wants more companies to avoid peak hours

High-voltage network operator TenneT is investigating whether it is possible for customers to use less power at peak times for a fee. Companies are already being asked to switch on energy-guzzling devices at other times where possible. These are measures to guarantee the power supply, now that there are more than 40 gigawatts of potential new applications for a connection to the power grid.
