Presenter Tijl Beckand already saw it coming: the second season of De Verraders started yesterday with considerably fewer viewers than last year. The show takes bronze.
De Verraders was a huge hit on RTL 4 during the corona lockdown last year. The program started in March with a generous 1.6 million viewers; at its peak, 1.7 million people watched. Including delayed viewing, the 2.2 million mark was even tapped.
Tijl was already counting on it
Now De Verraders is back for a second season, but the interest was slightly less yesterday: almost 1.2 million people (20% market share) watched and RTL 4 had to both NPO 1’s Flikken Maastricht (1.6 million and 27%) ) as NPO 2’s give Twee voor Twaalf (more than 1.2 million and 20%).
Presenter Tijl Beckand already saw it coming a bit. “Last year we were broadcast when no one was allowed on the street. Then there was a curfew. Good figures, but to be fair: we also had the wind in our sails then,” he said at Humberto Tan’s talk show table last week. Then jokingly: “But 3 million should work.”
Pim Fortuyn wins time slot
The winner at half past nine was the drama series Het Jaar van Fortuyn with 800 thousand viewers (17%) on NPO 1, slightly less than last week. Furthermore, NPO 2’s De Geknipte Gast (712 thousand), SBS 6 Today Inside (699 thousand) and RTL 4’s Jinek (659 thousand) were the most popular. Jinek was unable to conquer a place in the top 15 viewership.
At half past eight SBS 6 had to settle for 603 thousand viewers (10%) for De Alleskunner VIPS. In the evening, HLF8 got stuck at 324 thousand viewers.
Viewing figures
Programs that (also) did not reach the top fifteen viewing figures include Hart van Nederland (687 thousand), Jinek (659 thousand), Tijd voor MAX (658 thousand), Nieuwsuur (616 thousand), Khalid & Sophie (527 thousand) and Show news (525 thousand).
