Mu.ZEE moves to Thermae Palace: this is how Ostend wants…

The Thermae Palace is therefore being thoroughly renovated because the building is in ‘terrible condition’, the city says. Today only 30% of the complex is used. The rest is left to languish empty.

It hotel is being thoroughly renovated into a quality hotel with 90 to 125 rooms, half of which have sea views, a breakfast room and restaurant. There is also a new one next to the hotel wellness center with sauna, hammam, several baths and a relaxation room.

It is also moving museum Mu.ZEE to the building. “An absolute top location that deserves it and which should also attract a much wider audience,” says the city.

Also striking: there are also coming new residential homes near the current hotel at Parking West.

Without this, the entire project is economically unfeasible, says councilor Björn Anseeuw.
