MSV Duisburg suffered a setback in Monday’s third division game.
Against the newly promoted VfB Oldenburg, the traditional club did not get more than 1: 1 (0: 0) at home. The goals in a balanced game were scored by Kamer Krasniqi for the guests immediately after the break (46th) and Joker Benjamin Girth for MSV (72nd).
After three wins in a row, the team coached by Torsten Ziegner missed the leap to relegation place three and is now sixth at the end of the sixth game day. On Saturday, MSV meets leaders TSV 1860 Munich in the top game (2:00 p.m. / MagentaSport).
