We don’t move enough yet. Figures from Statistics Netherlands (CBS) show that not even half of the Dutch people exercise enough. According to the Health Council’s exercise guidelines, adults should do moderately intensive physical activity for at least 2.5 hours each week (walking, cycling, swimming) and children at least an hour a day. Muscle and bone-strengthening activities are also recommended for both groups (athletics, football, dancing). In practice, we do not always achieve this.
