A passenger car spontaneously caught fire on the A12 near Reeuwijk on Wednesday afternoon.
The vehicle was engulfed in the emergency lane and burned out completely. The fire brigade extinguished the fire. Due to the fire, two lanes were closed in the direction of The Hague. As a result, the delay was up to fifteen minutes.
The car has since been recovered. Rijkswaterstaat is busy cleaning the road surface until 4 p.m.
