After a career as a footballer that saw him start in the Juventus youth teams and then wear the jerseys of Perugia, Cesena, Arezzo, Frosinone and Novara, Gigi – who had a degree in Political Science – was manager of Turin, holding the role of Head of the Youth Sector from 1994 to 1999.
