The second-hand dealer Motte Motte GmbH from Vienna is insolvent.
Bankruptcy proceedings were filed with the responsible commercial court in Vienna by own application, said the creditor protection association Alpenländer Kreditorenverband (AKV Europa) on Friday. The lawyer Beate Holper was appointed administrator.
After Motte Motte opened its first store in Vienna’s Schottenfeldgasse in 2021, the second store in Kuffnergasse was added in May last year, as reported by the Austrian daily Kurier at the time. Now the company of managing director Robert Altermoser can no longer meet its current payment obligations.
The retailer can only be found online with one page on the social media platform Facebook, where no activities have been seen since the end of May, and the location in Schottenfeldgasse has also been permanently closed.
