Austin (dpa) – Formula 1 is pushing ahead with long-term calendar planning.
The motorsport premier class announced the extension of the contract with the Circuit of the Americas in Austin. The Texas state circuit will now host Formula 1 through 2026. The racing series recently announced a new contract with the operators in Bahrain up to and including 2036.
At the end of last year, Abu Dhabi was also granted the right to be the final venue up to and including 2030 in the event of an extension.
