A motorist left the road on Wednesday afternoon during a police chase on the A17 exit near Roosendaal. The driver took off when he was stopped by the police. The man was taken to hospital by ambulance.
The car veered off the exit ramp and hit some trees next to the verge. Several emergency services, including fire brigade and ambulance, arrived on scene. The driver’s exact injuries are unknown.
It is not yet known why the man fled. The exit was temporarily closed, but has now reopened.
