At least 25 swans that had bird flu were found in the Nieuwe Driemanspolder nature reserve between The Hague and Zoetermeer in the past week. About 20 of them were floating dead in the water. The other 5 were still alive, but received an injection. The local animal ambulance fears that the number of dead swans in the area will certainly double in the coming days.
