On the Spieregerweg (N855) between Spier and Dwingeloo, a motorist left the road around 10.20 pm tonight and came to a halt in a ditch. No other road users were involved in the accident.
It is not known how it could have happened that the driver lost control of the steering wheel. Several emergency services came to the scene to take care of the victim, who was checked by paramedics for relocation. The car was damaged at the front.
One lane of the N855 was partially closed at the time of the accident.
