A motorist hit the porch of an apartment building on Echternachlaan in Eindhoven at the end of the afternoon on Saturday. According to local residents, the driver then fled with squeaky tires.
It is not yet clear why the driver slammed into the doors. Local residents were startled by a loud blow and then saw the damage. That probably happened a little after four o’clock in the afternoon. Photos show that one of the doors is gone. There is also a large window on the floor.

Residents of the flat were not allowed to leave their apartments, but the rammed-in main entrance was not allowed to be used. They were able to get in and out of the building through a storage room.
The entrance was closed with ribbons. The emergency service of housing corporation Wooninc examined whether the porch needs to be propped up. It is unknown how that ended.
The police also looked at CCTV footage of the area surrounding the flat.
