A motorist was injured this evening after his car left the road and crashed into a tree. The accident happened on Oisterwijksedreef in Haaren. The driver was said to have been under the influence of alcohol.
The motorist came by car from Oisterwijk. The driver hit a tree on the right side of the road and came to a stop. The driver was taken to hospital in an ambulance.
The road was closed after the accident for police investigation. A recovery company removed the severely damaged car. In addition to the police and an ambulance, the fire brigade was also there to provide assistance.
As far as we know, no other road users were involved in the accident.
