A motorist was injured in an accident near De Wijk last night. On Commission Road, the car collided head-on with a tree.
The victim is a 20-year-old man from the neighborhood. The accident happened around half past three. The cause is still under investigation. No other road users were involved in the accident, police said.
The man from the neighborhood was rescued by the fire brigade. He has been taken to a hospital.
