A 37-year-old motorist was arrested early on Tuesday morning around half past four in Hilvarenbeek. The arrest was preceded by a wild chase on the A27 and A58. On the exit at Hilvarenbeek, the motorist crashed and came to a stop against a lamppost.
The chase started on the A27. The police wanted to check the car in which the man was driving and turned on the following signs. But instead of slowing down, the man took off.
Officers gave chase which continued on the A58. At the Hilvarenbeek exit, the car flew out of the bend and came to a stop against a lamppost. The driver then tried to run away, but was arrested after a short chase.
It is unclear why the man fled. Police also do not have a home address for the man.
