Dutch motorcyclist Joey den Beste died in an accident in Imatra, Finland, on Sunday.
After a break in the rain, the 30-year-old lost control of his machine on the formation lap of a race in the International Road Racing Championship (IRRC) and crashed into a light pole.
“The IRRC management would like to express its deepest sympathy to his partner, his family, his friends and his loved ones,” said the management of the racing series on Monday.
In 2019, a driver died as a result of an accident on a wet track in Imatra.
On Saturday, the Dutch motorsport talent Dilano van’t Hoff died in a racing accident in Spa, Belgium, at the age of 18.
