A motorcyclist was injured in an accident on Delftlaan (N208) in Haarlem this morning at 6:50 am. He has been taken to hospital.
The accident happened just before the traffic light. A police spokesperson told NH that the motorcycle probably crashed into the back of the car in front of him. The motorcyclist then fell on the asphalt and was injured. The engine was also damaged and, according to the spokesperson, will have to be re-inspected before it can go back on the road.
The cause of the accident is not yet clear. “Both drivers did not use alcohol or drugs,” the spokesperson said. It still depends on the severity of the motorcyclist’s injuries whether there will be a police investigation into the accident.
