A motorcycle crashed into a PostNL bus at De Waal in Zaandam tonight around a quarter past seven. The vehicle ended up under the bus after the impact. The motorcyclist was seriously injured in the accident.
After the accident, the aid of a trauma helicopter was called in, which landed on a field nearby. The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was rushed to hospital.
It is not yet clear how the accident could have happened. The Waal is temporarily closed for processing. The Traffic Accident Analysis is investigating the incident.
