Spanish motorcyclist Raul Torras Martinez has died in a crash during the Mansaari TT races on Tuesday evening. Competition organizers confirm The death of Torras Martinez.

According to the organizers, the 46-year-old Spanish driver lost his life after being ejected during the third and final lap of Tuesday’s race.

Torras Martinez was an experienced competitor in TT races. He made his debut on the Isle of Man in 2017 and drove in a total of 21 races. He recorded his fastest lap in the race on Tuesday before his death.

– Raül was the fastest Spaniard ever on the TT track, the organizers say in a statement.

The Mansaari TT races are the world’s oldest motorcycle race, held annually since 1907. The race is one of the most dangerous in motorsport and Torras Martinez became the 267th dead competitor in the history of TT races. Last year, six competitors died during the races.

On a track over 60 kilometers long, top speeds reach up to 300 kilometers per hour. The average speed is well over 200 kilometers per hour, and the driver cannot afford a single mistake during the lap.
