A motorcyclist was killed on Tuesday afternoon after a collision with a car on the A17. The accident happened shortly after four o’clock near Klundert in the direction of Moerdijk. That will let the police know.
The A17 is closed in the direction of the Moerdijk Bridge for assistance and investigation by the police.
Because the Haringvliet Bridge is closed for work, it is extra busy on the A17 near Moerdijk. After the accident, long traffic jams arose in both directions with delays of up to half an hour. Traffic will be diverted from the De Stok junction. Rijkswaterstaat advises to avoid the A17 and to choose a different route. Or postpone the trip.
A spokesman for the police speaks of a ‘true traffic jam’, which means that emergency services have great difficulty in providing assistance.
