Motorcyclist (57) critical after accident in Bruges

The victim allegedly hit the back of the car in front of him.

The accident happened shortly after 6.30 pm on the Zeelaan near Dudzele. There was a collision between a motorcycle and a car. The motorcyclist was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The condition of 57-year-old Bruggeling is still critical.

Parquet investigates circumstances

The Bruges public prosecutor’s office sent a traffic expert on site to investigate the exact circumstances of the accident.

In the meantime, the expert’s initial findings have shown that the engine must have been driven on the left rear side of the car. As a result, both drivers lost control of the steering wheel.

The vehicles were seized for further investigation by the expert
