Motorcyclist (44) dies after hitting a stationary car on A2

The motorcyclist who drove on the back of a car on the A2 at the Leenderheide junction on Friday at the end of the afternoon, died of his injuries. It concerns a 44-year-old man from Nijmegen.

The accident happened around a quarter past five. The motorcyclist would have flipped onto the back of the stationary car. An air ambulance was called and the man has been resuscitated. It did not help. He died on the spot.

After the accident, the A2 was closed for a long time between Valkenswaard and Eindhoven. The Traffic Accident Analysis has investigated the cause of the accident. The road was reopened around 9:30 am.
