A motorcyclist died on Sunday afternoon after he went off the road near Appingedam. The accident happened on the N33.
Ambulance and a trauma helicopter were called, but assistance was no longer allowed to benefit the victim. The 31-year-old man from the municipality of Eemsdelta died at the scene, according to a police spokesperson.
It is not known exactly what happened in the accident. This is being investigated. The road was closed for some time after the accident.
