The motorcyclist who died in an accident in Moergestel on Tuesday evening is a 27-year-old man from Kaatsheuvel. The police announced this on Wednesday. The accident, in which no other road users were involved, happened around eight o’clock on Akkerweg. There the motorcyclist crashed into a lamppost after losing control of the wheel.
The victim was on the road with three other motorcyclists when things went wrong. According to the police, he probably lost control after he hit the curb with his motorcycle just before the roundabout on the Akkerweg. He then crashed into a lamppost.
Bystanders immediately started CPR. However, help was of no avail.
