A very fast Jack Miller signs pole on the Marco Simoncelli circuit in Misano, according to Francesco Bagnaia then Bastianini. All Ducati front row, only eighth Quartararo
Uncertain weather Clouds, humidity and a few drops of rain raise the tension and increase the uncertainty a few hours before the MotoGP qualifying in Misano Adriatico but a very fast, tough and constant Jack Miller after making FP3 his own also conquers pole showing his period of great form and concentration and his great predilection for qualifications. Behind him Francesco Bagnaia for a whisker (15 cenetesimi!) Proves once more that when you have to grit your teeth and be fast on him you can count on him even if he will be penalized by three positions and will therefore start fifth in the second row. In third place we find Bastianini (who, however, will start second) with Quartararo who will start only eighth with a Ducati “wall” in front of him who, if they manage to resist in those positions, could help Bagnaia in recovering points from a world perspective.
The good day of the reds of Borgo Panigale starts from Q1 from which Bezzecchi and Marini pass with Valentino’s brother who makes a small mockery of Jeorge Martin at the end of the session. Q2 begins to run its chronometer with the drivers choosing rain tires on a wet track. The idea is to wait for the track to dry a bit and then use the slicks after the first change even if some like Bastianini risk slicks from the first stint. Seven minutes from the end, all the riders have now started to use slick tires with the Ducatis that immediately set the best times showing everyone that you can go under the wall of 1’34, something that the magical trio made up immediately succeeds by Bastianini, Miller and Bezzecchi. The track dries up and the times still drop rapidly with the riders throwing their hearts over the obstacle, driving very strong on a wet track with slick tires, everyone takes some risks without knowing where the real limit of bikes and tires is and without understanding fully whether the track is drying or not. Speaking for them is the chronometer who, a few minutes from the end, smiles at Zarco who with his gentle and fast driving marks the provisional first time with 1’31 “201 in front of a fantastic Maverik Vinales who finds himself fast even on a wet track with his Aprilia.The last two minutes are a Russian roulette of fast laps in sequence and continuous improvements by all the riders on the track.

The last moments of qualifying still smile at the Ducatis that on the home circuit do not disappoint the fans and the many Italians rushed to the circuit. Fastest lap for Miller who scores a fantastic 1’31 “899 followed by a whisker from his teammate Francesco Bagnaia 1’31” 914 the only two riders to go under the 32 “wall. Third was an excellent and constant Enea Bastianini, followed by Bezzecchi who opens the second row with the fourth Ducati in the first four places Fifth Maverik Vinales who with the Aprilia breaks the long train of Ducati because behind him we find the two reds of Zarco and Marini so we find six Ducati in the first seven places. Fabio Quartararo was only eighth, albeit only 347 centimeters from first, behind Quartararo but more detached in terms of lap times, we find Espargaro’s Aprilia ninth, Olivera tenth followed by Morbidelli and Rins.
