The satellite team of the Tokyo brand presents the bike for 2024 with two different liveries. Johann confident: “Positive start with the RC213V. I see a lot of changes.” Takaaki dreams big: “I want my first victory”
The only victory Honda in MotoGP in 2023 it bears the signature of Lcr team. It will be up to Johann Zarco And Takaaki Nakagami give other satisfactions to Lucio Cecchinello during 2024. The Honda satellite team will have two different liveries, presented on February 15th via streaming. Zarco’s RC213V is predominantly white, interspersed with continuous green and red bands. A reference to the 1997 RC45 that won a historic Superbike title with John Kocinski. Nakagami, on the other hand, will ride a motorbike which, in addition to white, will show off a strong contrast between red and black.

Zarco left the Ducati Pramac after three seasons. His contribution to the Honda cause is precious and Johann is aware of it: “I can rely on the experience acquired in previous years. Now I also know how to have fun in difficult moments. In general I started 2024 well with Honda and it seems that there are many changes. I’m ready to enjoy them. I also know how to analyze the positive aspects of other drivers’ work. When we talk to each other, sharing our opinions, I try to provide precise direction for some details. I think this is my strong point.” The Frenchman also sets short and long-term goals: “I want to stay in the top positions. I feel I can fight for the podium or even for something more if the opportunity presents itself. I have extra motivation with this new bike. In the championship I don’t have a clear objective, but I would at least like to get Honda back into the top 10.”

Nakagami is preparing to face his seventh season in MotoGP: “I’m excited, I can’t wait to get started. I feel in good physical condition and I’m ready for the test. I know Honda well by now, I know that its project evolves every year I asked to share my information for development. I think my strength is knowing the differences between small components in the set up.” Very clear ideas about goals for 2024: “I want to get my first victory. I’m working a lot on myself to reach this goal.” Also Cecchinello can’t wait to start the 2024 World Championship. The Italian team manager explains: “Honda and the sponsors have invested a lot. We have great ambitions. The last few years have been difficult, but you have to vigorously pursue your objectives. It’s my job to maintain motivated the team. With Honda we worked on many details. It’s been a very challenging winter, but I still want to get started.”
