Many big names, including Marc Marquezthey consider him the favorite in the Moto3. David Alonso responds as a champion in Qatar. The Colombian from CFMoto Aspar triumphs in Losail with a great comeback. The poleman was beaten in the sprint Daniel Holgado (GasGas), the other expected protagonist, leading the race almost until the end. In short, fireworks in the first round of a World Cup that is, on paper, very interesting. Third position for Taiyo Furusato, great revelation of the opening race. Mocked Riccardo Rossifourth, but author of a great performance.

surprises

Sixteen laps are scheduled. Just before the start, here’s the first twist: David Munoz suffers a problem with his motorbike. The race commissioners invite him to restart from the pit lane and only after a brief debate does the driver agree. At the start Holgado leads ahead of Ortola and Rueda. Bad start for Bertelle, who ends up at the back. On the third pass a new surprise arrives: Rueda slips and also involves the innocent Ortolà in the fall. The latter restarts anyway and finishes in ninth place. Meanwhile, the top positions crystallized, forming a group of ten riders led by Holgado, Alonso and Fernandez. The Italians Nepa and Rossi were also present, while Farioli and Bertelle fell. Few overtakings and great attention to tire wear.

magic

Furusato takes the lead and twice tries to take command of the operations, but without success. Not even Holgado’s pace was enough to make the selection: the role of the wakes was decisive. The race heats up in the last two laps. Alonso finds himself sixth after a wrong trajectory and seems to compromise his chances of victory. Instead, on the last lap, here’s the magic: double overtaking by Perez and Fernandez, who then crashed. Then winning breaks against Rossi, Furusato and, finally, right in the final corner against an incredulous Holgado.
