Maryo Aji and Andrea Migno finished second and third in rainy practice
The only value of the round lies in the tests carried out in case the race was held in the wet
The Spanish Jaume Masiá (KTM) led the second round of free practice of the Japanese Grand Prix of Moto3 that was disputed in the circuit ‘Twin Ring’ of Motegi and that was irrelevant for the classification of the category. Masiá set a best time of 2:09.684, when yesterday the Brazilian Diogo Moreira (KTM), in dry conditions, lapped in 1:57.250, which gives a clearer idea of the conditions in which the asphalt of the Japanese track woke up as a result of weather conditions.
The rain, as planned, became the protagonist of the second day, leaving in nothing the results of the second round of free practice prior to qualifying, whose only value was the possibility of testing the bikes in the event that the race Japanese takes place in wet conditions.
With Masiá as leader, they showed their skills behind him, on wet asphalt, the Indonesian Maryo Aji (Honda), the Italian Andrea Migno (Honda)the Japanese Tatsuki Suzuki (Honda) and the British John McPhee (Husqvarna), who finished behind him.
The world leader, the Spanish Izan Guevara (Gasgas) took it easy to avoid making any mistakes in the form of a fall and finished in sixteenth position while waiting for the official evening classification.
