On the morning of Mother’s Day, meals made by the children are eaten.

The breads can be decorated with the mother’s favorite delicacies. Roni Lehti

The breakfast cooked by the children starts Mother’s Day in just the right way. Who wouldn’t want to sit down at a ready-made table or get a breakfast tray in bed. Surely everyone loves a little pampering.

Chef Risto Mikkola was always excited on Mother’s Day morning when she got to put breakfast to her mother. She sneaked quietly into the kitchen, from where, after a while, the bumps and rumbles of the dishes certainly woke her up in good time before the h-moment.

Although the distance is now hundreds of kilometers, the sense of closeness has not diminished at all.

– I still love my own mother very much, Mikkola says.

He laughs that Mother’s Day morning seems to be as pleasing to little Risto as it is to Mom. Even then, Mikkola had a desire to cook for others and make people happy with good food.

– Every other morning, Mom took care of our breakfasts and going to school and helped move forward in life. At least one morning you can make breakfast for your mother.

These breads work for even the smallest chef. Roni Lehti

Mikkola now wanted to develop a recipe that even the smallest members of the family could make almost alone. The help of the bigger ones is definitely needed for cooking the caramel and roasting in the oven, but the smallest ones can focus on the decoration.

The recess is pressed into the middle of the slice of bread either with the help of glass or only with your fingers. Spoon the mass of ricotta cheese into the recess and place the breads in the oven to warm up.

A deliciously sticky caramel sauce is spooned over the cheese and then it’s time for creativity when the breads are garnished with a mother’s favorite delicacies.

– In addition to strawberries, all other berries are suitable for bread. Or if your mom’s favorites are hats, you can put them on. Chocolate tops and toffee are also suitable, Mikkola suggests.

Breakfast is easy to come by and still looks good.

– Mom may never have had a similar breakfast. This may surprise him.
